This Indian restaurant is a true gem! The atmosphere, transformed by captivating lights, takes you on a journey to another dimension. The cuisines are a burst of warmth and flavor - the chicken practically falls off the bone, perfectly spiced, and the lamb saag is a melt-in-your-mouth delight. I found myself closing my eyes in bliss, almost wanting to fall asleep in the plate!
This is a street food truck that is right behind Eastern Market in Detroit. We were at Eastern market for Saturday summer farmers market. After our morning walk through the market we decided to eat here.
Meet me in the Temple tonight or tomorrow...I've had every dish on the menu and I can say there are no bad decisions. I'm a lover of Indian fare and Midnight Temple has the best Indian food in Michigan in my humble opinion. I may be bold enough to say Midnight Temple is a solid contender for restaurant of the year.
Excellent and attentive service, I love the decor and ambiance, the food is delicious, and the drinks are tasty. The vibes are really good here. Spacious interior. I love how colorful and fun the space is! My lentil dish was so good! My friend's chicken dish was sizzling on a skillet and so tender. The garlic naan was lovely. I enjoyed my refreshing mango lassi.
It's the NFL Draft weekend in Detroit, so husband and I were in the area on Saturday evening and thought of checking this place out. This cute gem of a spot is located in the Eastern market area where there's plenty of parking nearby. We walked to the entrance of the restaurant and were greeted by this long stairwell of marigold flower garlands which were really pretty. We walked up the stairs and saw a sign that asked to seat yourself, which we really appreciated. We went up to our table and were quickly attended by the wait staff. We ordered some cocktails - I got the Goa Sunset and hubby got Kali's potion. Both drinks were really nicely made with the perfect amount of strength. That made us go for another round of drinks with our meals.
